PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT:

RIALTO can be applied to surfaces of different nature, after their treatment.

New plasters:

Make sure the plaster is dry and well cured (minimum four weeks).
If necessary, strengthen it with suitable products.
If mold or algae is present, treat the surface with appropriate biocides.
Apply a possible coat of water-based sealer.
Apply one or two coats of washable quartz paint.

Old plasters:

If the old paint is not perfectly fixed, it must be removed mechanically.
Any defects must be filled.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

RIALTO can be applied in many different ways and with numerous tools:

Apply two coats of RIALTO with a metal spatula to create a marble effect or, using multiple colors, marble effect. When the product is perfectly dry, polish the surface with a clean metal spatula or a polishing machine.

Apply a coat of RIALTO with a short hair roller and go over the still wet surface again with a metal spatula to create the pattern. When the product is perfectly dry, polish the surface with a clean metal spatula. The raised parts will be accentuated, creating the desired texture.

Apply a coat of RIALTO with a short-pile roller and go over the still wet surface again with a synthetic leather sponge. When the product is perfectly dry, apply a second layer of RIALTO with a metal spatula and smooth the surface.

After complete drying, polish the surface with a clean metal spatula. The raised parts will be accentuated, creating the desired effect.

Apply a layer of RIALTO with a short-hair roller and go over the surface, still wet, with a sponge to create the wood effect. When the product is perfectly dry, apply a second layer of RIALTO with a metal spatula and smooth the surface. After complete drying, polish the surface with a clean metal spatula. The embossed parts will be accentuated, creating a nice wooden effect.

Apply a coat of RIALTO with a brush, continuously criss-crossing strokes to highlight the brushes. When the product is perfectly dry, polish the surface with a metal spatula to highlight the decorative texture.

It is possible to apply a final layer of pearl paint to achieve a more modern and pleasant decorative effect.

Dilution: no dilution required (product is ready to use).

Climatic conditions: temperature +5 / +35°C; relative humidity not higher than 75%.

Drying at T = 23 ± 2°C and RH = 50 ± 5%: touch dry in 2-3 hours, deep dry in 14-24 hours.

Instruments should be washed with water immediately after use.

VISCOSITY: 45000-65000 cps

DENSITY: 1.63 ± 0.05 g/ml

pH: 7-9

HANDLING – STABILITY:

Storage: in rooms with a temperature between 5 and 35°C.

RIALTO, if stored in a dry place at room temperature and in sealed containers, has no stability problems. The maximum recommended storage time is 12 months. For evaluation of toxicological data, see the safety data sheet.

The product is sensitive to frost.
