Description

PREPARATION OF THE SUPPORT:

DUOMO can be applied to surfaces of different nature after their treatment.

New plasters:

Make sure the plaster is dry and hardened properly (at least four weeks).
Apply a possible layer of water-based fixing insulation.
Apply one or two layers of washable white undercoat.

Old plasters:

Clean the surfaces by removing any loose parts.
Dirt and molds must be removed with special cleaning products and biocides for walls. Old paints can be removed with suitable wall paint removal solutions.
Apply a possible layer of water-based fixing insulation.

Apply one or two layers of washable white undercoat.
To obtain smooth and uniform effects, remove the walls with special paste fillers.

Other surfaces:

Clean the surfaces to be painted, removing any flaking parts.
Traces of dirt or grease must be removed with special cleaning products.
Apply a layer of primer to ensure the perfect anchoring of the glazes on the support.

APPLICATION PROCEDURE:

GOLD/SILVER:

Apply DUOMO without dilution with the wool stencil, crossing the application directions first from top to bottom and then from left to right without waiting time between the two layers. Wait 4-5 hours and apply a second layer of product in the same way.

METALLIC:

To obtain a smooth and uniform effect, apply DUOMO, diluted about 15-20% with water, by spraying (1.3 mm nozzle) in two layers. For the first layer, spray the product on the surface by moving the gun from left to right and in the opposite direction, placing the butterfly of the gun in a horizontal position. Then spray from top to bottom and in the opposite direction, rotating the butterfly in a vertical position, without waiting time between the two layers. The intersection of the two jets determines the uniformity of the product distribution.
Once dry, apply the second layer, repeating the application as for the first layer. To obtain the best smooth and uniform effects, apply the products on perfectly smooth surfaces.

TAMPON LEAF (GOLD / SILVER):

Dilute the product with approximately 5-10% water. Apply DUOMO to small portions of the wall (approximately 50×50 cm) with a brush and immediately dab the entire area with a suitable dab.
• Tools: wool roll, spray gun, brush, tampon;
• Dilution: depending on the type of application;
• Climatic conditions: Temperature +5 / + 35°C;
• The relative humidity does not exceed 75%.
• Drying at T = 23 ± 2°C and RH = 50 ± 5%: in depth 14-24 hours.
• Tools must be washed with water immediately after use.

PHYSICAL-CHEMICAL PROPERTIES:

• Yield: 5-6 m²/l;
• Viscosity: 13000 ± 4000 cps;
• Specific weight: 1.18 ± 0.05 g/ml;
• pH: 8-10;
• VOC: 5 gr/l.

HANDLING – STABILITY:

Storage: in environments with temperatures between 5 and 35°C.
The finished product, if it is stored in a dry place, at room temperature and in sealed containers, does not present stability problems. The maximum recommended storage time is 12 months. Regarding the evaluation of toxicological data, please consult the safety data sheet.
The product does not withstand freezing.
